S7480A-SEF2-PA is a S700 series digital servo amplifier from Kollmorgen. S700 amplifiers are designed for precise and accurate control of industrial motors. With support for multiple feedback options, S700 amplifiers form an integral part of industrial automation systems based on closed loop control. Transport of S700 amplifiers is only allowed when undertaken by trained personnel in the manufacturer?s original recyclable packing. The amplifiers must be protected from shocks during transportation. The recommended ambient temperature for amplifier transport is -25 to 70 degrees Celsius. As the amplifiers contain ESD sensitive components, personnel must discharge themselves prior to handling the units. S700 units must only be stored in recyclable packaging. The recommended storage temperature is -25 to 55 degrees Celsius. The storage humidity range is 5 to 95%. S700 units can be stored for up to one year without any restrictions.

When stored for more than a year, the capacitors need reforming. The reforming process involves removal of electrical connections to the unit and application of single-phase AC input at 230 Volts AC for a duration of approximately 30 minutes to the L1/L2 terminals. The recommended operating temperature for S700 units is 0 to 40 degrees Celsius. The units? output derates by 2.5%/K when the ambient temperature is between 40 and 55 degrees Celsius. The recommended site altitude is 0 to 1000 meters. The units? output derates by 1.5%/100 meters when the ambient temperature is between 1000 and 2500 meters. The S7480A-SEF2-PA amplifier is equipped with three expansions cards. These include a SERCOS 2 expansion card, a fan control card and a position I/O monitor card. Only trained personnel with relevant experience should work on the S7480A-SEF2-PA amplifier.
