The S7480A-SEF2-NA is an advanced industrial servo amplifier produced by Kollmorgen to improve industrial operation processes by ensuring the accurate control of servo motors used in industrial operations. This servo amplifier is a modular device that is intended to be used with brushless asynchronous, synchronous and induction motor designs. The housing of this sophisticated digital amplifier provides protection according to the IP20 protection class, the amplifier requires installation into an additional control cabinet for optimum operation. The S7480A-SEF2-NA digital servo amplifier can be used in residential or commercial areas, however operating the amplifier in these environments will require additional mains filter measures to reduce the electrical interference generated by the amplifier.
The S7480A-SEF2-NA servo amplifier is delivered in a recyclable cardboard with inserts, each delivery package carries a name plate that ensures the easy identification of the amplifier upon delivery. The amplifier is delivered with a printed safety guide, shielding pates, shield clamps, mating connectors and a setup software for the easy configuration of the amplifier. The rated supply voltage for the S7480A-SEF2-NA servo amplifier falls between 208 to about 480 volts, this amplifier also requires rated input power of 35 kilovolts ampere for continuous operation. A SERCOS II expansion card is integrated into this servo amplifier before delivery, the amplifier also features a Fan Controller expansion card that functions to reduce the noise emission generated by the motor housing.
The S7480A-SEF2-NA servo amplifier is designed with a 3-character display through which operators can monitor the operation of the amplifier in real time. The permissible ambient temperature for the operation of this servo amplifier falls between 0 to about 40 degree Celsius, while the maximum installation height weight derating is 1000 meters above sea level.
