S7480A-PNF2-PA is a Kollmorgen servo amplifier. It is designed for industrial applications requiring precise motor control. The amplifier supports several feedback evaluation methods and works with multiple types of motors. Input voltage range for the unit is 208 to 480 Volts AC. Three-phase input is required for normal operation. The required input power for continuous output is 35 kVA. Single-phase input can be used during setup. A keypad and digital display on the unit can be used for configuration. PC-based setup software can also be used for configuration. The amplifier features an integrated RS-232 interface that allows communication with computers over a serial communication link. Additional integrated communication interfaces include Ethernet and CANopen. Ethernet allows communication over industrial networks such as SynqNet and EtherCAT.
Nominal output of the S7480A-PNF2-PA amplifier unit is 48 Amps rms. The nominal output is available over the entire input voltage range. Output of the amplifier derates if the temperature is more than 40 degrees Celsius or if the site elevation is more than 1000 meters. The peak current output is 96 Amps rms. The S7480A-PNF2-PA amplifier can sustain peak output for 5 seconds. Heat dissipated by the amplifier under no load condition is 24 Watts. The thermal dissipation at 230 Volts is 555 Watts. The thermal dissipation at 400 Volts is 635 Watts. The thermal dissipation at 480 Volts is 685 Watts. Maximum noise emission of the amplifier is 62 dB. The amplifier comes with three pre-installed expansion cards. Slot 1 on the unit is equipped with a Profinet card. Slot 2 on the unit is equipped with a fan control card. Slot 3 on the unit is equipped with a position I/O monitor card.
