The S74802-SEF2-F2 is a sophisticated digital servo amplifier designed by Kollomorgen to improve the efficiency of industrial machines by carrying out accurate closed loop control of the speed, position, and torque output of industrial motors. The servo amplifier is a flexible device that can be used with synchronous, asynchronous, and DC motors, it can also be used with third party motors as long the motor meets the specifications of the amplifier. The housing of the S74802-SEF2-F2 servo amplifier provides protection according to the IP20 protection class, however the amplifier is still required to be operated in a closed loop control cabinet that can preserve permissible ambient conditions around it. The handling of the S74802-SEF2-F2 digital servo amplifier is very easy and straightforward, to maintain optimum operation, only well trained and qualified engineers should be allowed to handle the servo amplifier. The S74802-SEF2-F2 servo amplifier is designed to be used with an AC three phase power supply network, the rated supply voltage for the amplifier is 208 to about 480 volts, at a supply frequency of 50/60Hz. Although the S74802-SEF2-F2 can be connected to a DC supply network, it has not been evaluated for this by Kollmorgen, and the user will be expected to review and evaluate the connection for branch circuit protection, wire size, wire voltage, rate, fuse protection, current rating and over voltage. Also, the integrated EMC filter will not work, and the user will be responsible for keeping the conducted emissions and immunity of the drive within the required noise levels. The S74802-SEF2-F2 servo drive amplifier generates a rated output current of 48 Amperes during operation, this can however be as high as 96 amperes. The total weight of the S74802-SEF2-F2 servo amplifier is 13 kilograms.
