The S74802-PBF2-F2 is a new-generation servo amplifier manufactured by Kollmorgen to accurately carry out the closed-loop control of the speed, position and torque output of industrial motors according to pre-determined configuration parameters. This servo amplifier can be used with a different industrial motor designs including the asynchronous, synchronous and DC motors. The S74802-PBF2-F2 servo amplifier is intended to be used with an AC mains input, however it can also be used with a DC input for either single or group installations. The S74802-PBF2-F2 has not be evaluated for DC mains input, users that intend to use switch from AC mains to DC mains input should review the installation for wire size, wire voltage, fuse protection, system dielectric requirements, overvoltage, and input current rating. Also, in the case of DC input, the integrated EMC filter will not work, the user us responsible for keeping the conducted emissions and immunity of the drive within the required noise levels.
As a standard, the S74802-PBF2-F2 servo amplifier is delivered with a safety guide, online documentation, mating connectors, and the DRIVEGUI.EXE set up software which is installed on a CD-ROM. Other accessories such as the external braking resistor, communication cable, mains choke, and motor cable are considered optional accessories and operators that require these accessories are expected to make a separate order for them.
The S74802-PBF2-F2 industrial servo drive amplifier also features several integrated safety features including overvoltage detection, short circuit protection, and phase-failure monitoring. A safe stop feature is also integrated into the servo drive amplifier. The permissible ambient operation temperature for the amplifier falls between 0 to about 40 degree Celsius, while the maximum permissible installation height is about 1000 meters above sea level.
