S74802-NANA-S3 is a S700 series servo amplifier from Kollmorgen. The amplifier is designed for closed loop control of linear, synchronous, induction and DC motors. Under optimal ambient conditions, its rated output is 48 Amps and the peak output is 96 Amps. Optimal ambient conditions include 0 to 40 degrees Celsius temperature and 0 to 1000 meters altitude. Output of the S74802-NANA-S3 derates at a rate of 2.5%/K at temperatures lying between 40 and 55 degrees Celsius. Output of the amplifier derates at a rate of 1.5%/100 meters at altitudes between 1000 and 2500 meters. Storage of unused S700 units must be done at -20 to 55 degrees Celsius. For storage the relative humidity range is 5 to 95% and condensation is not permitted. Storage for durations of less than one year is permitted without restriction. For storage durations exceeding one year, the capacitors must be re-formed before setting up and operating the servo amplifier. To do this, operators must remove all electrical connections and apply single-phase 230 Volts AC for approximately 30 minutes to the L1 and L2 terminals. The recommended temperature for transportation is -25 to 70 degrees Celsius. If the packaging gets damaged during transport, operators must check the unit for visible damage. This shipper and manufacturer must also be informed. The S74802-NANA-S3 amplifier has three expansion slots. Two of these are empty and a SIL-2/SIL-3 safety module is installed in slot 3. The servo amplifier contains ESD sensitive components which can be damaged by improper handling. Technical personnel must discharge themselves before touching the servo amplifier. They must also avoid contact with highly insulating materials. The servo amplifier must be placed on a conductive surface.
