S74802-NANA-PA is a S700 series digital servo amplifier. It is designed by Kollmorgen for closed-loop control of synchronous, linear, induction and DC motors. The amplifier has a modular design. Three slots are available for expansion cards. Slot 1 and 2 on the unit are unoccupied and can be used for adding expansion cards in the field. Slot 3 on the unit is occupied by a position I/O monitoring card. This expansion card provides the features of the position I/O card and an extra connector with analog ±10 Volts inputs and outputs. Functionality of this expansion card can be set with the setup software and with macro functions. A memory card slot is also available on the system. The S74802-NANA-PA amplifier supports a wide input voltage range from 208 to 480 Volts AC. As a result, it can be used with a range of AC supply systems. The AC supply must be three-phase. Both 50 and 60 Hertz line frequencies are supported. The rated output of 48 Amps is available across the entire input voltage range. Furthermore, the unit can deliver higher output currents, with a peak current rating of 96 Amps for 5 seconds. Integrated communication options include EtherCat, CANopen and RS-232. Additional legacy communication, such as Profinet, DeviceNet and Profibus, options can be added via expansion cards. The optimal ambient temperature for operation is 0 to 40 degrees Celsius. The storage temperature is -20 to 55 degrees Celsius. S700 units can be stored without restrictions for up to one year. Longer durations require capacitor re-forming. The amplifier and associated equipment must be handled only by trained technical personnel who possess relevant qualifications and experience.
