The S74802-NAF2-NA is a digital servo amplifier designed by Kollmorgen to improve industrial efficiency by accurately controlling the speed, position, and general operation of brushless synchronous, asynchronous, and DC servo motors used in industrial production and processing applications. This industrial digital servo amplifier meets industrial quality and safety standards, before delivery, it is tested and certified to meet the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency. The handling of this digital servo amplifier is designed to be very easy and straight forward, these handling operations is intended to be carried out by well trained engineers who have gone through the instructions stated in the documentation delivered with the controller. The digital servo amplifier can be supplied from 3-phase grounded earthed industrial supply network, such as the TN-system, TT-system with grounded neutral point no more than 42kA. Connection to other types of supply network is possible, but this might require an isolating transformer. In the case of mains voltage asymmetry, a mains choke must be used.
The S74802-NAF2-NA digital servo amplifier features a three-character led display which is designed to indicate the status of the amplifier after switching on the 24 volt supply. When the keys on the front panel are used, the parameter and function numbers are shown, as well as the numbers for any errors, and warnings that may occur. Also, the 24-volt holding brake of the motor can be controlled directly by the digital servo amplifier. Brakes with up to 3 Amperes can be controlled directly.
The S74802-NAF2-NA digital servo amplifier can independently detect overvoltage. During over voltage, the servo amplifier switches off the output stage and displays and error message saying “Overvoltage FO2”. This unique response protects the amplifier from overvoltage damage.
