Product Description

S74802-EIF2-PA is a high-performance servo amplifier. It is manufactured by Kollmorgen for industrial applications. The amplifier is part of the S700 series, which is designed for closed loop control of DC motors, linear motors, induction motors and synchronous motors. A wide input range, ranging from 208 to 480 Volts AC, allows amplifier use with several AC power systems. The rated output under optimal conditions is 48 Amps. This rated output is available across the entire input voltage range. Higher current output is available under high load conditions. The peak output can not exceed 96 Amps. Peak output is available for 5 seconds. With an IP20 rated hosing, the unit is not safe from dust and moisture. Therefore it must be mounted inside a switchgear cabinet. Ambient temperature inside the cabinet must be kept between 0 and 40 degrees Celsius. Suitable spacing must be provided for smooth airflow inside the cabinet. Addition cooling may be necessary for maintenance of ambient temperature. The output of the S74802-EIF2-PA derates at a rate of 2.5%/K if the temperature exceeds 40 degrees Celsius. The maximum permitted ambient temperature is 55 degrees Celsius. Kollmorgen recommends 0 to 1000 meters site elevation. Output of the S74802-EIF2-PA derates at a rate of 1.5%/100 meters if the elevation exceeds 1000. The maximum permitted site elevation is 2500 meters. The unit has three expansion slots. Slot 1 on the unit is occupied by an I/O expansion card. Slot 2 is occupied by a fan control card. Slot 3 is occupied by a position I/O card.
