The S74802-2CF2-NA is a highly advanced digital servo amplifier produced by Kollmorgen which is renowned as a leading producer of industrial motion and motion control machines. This servo amplifier is a durable device that is intended to be used exclusively with brushless synchronous motors, asynchronous motors, and DC motors. The servo amplifier carries out the closed-loop control of the torque, speed, and position servo motors according to pre-determined configuration parameters. The S74802-2CF2-NA servo amplifier may only be operated in a close cabinet that can protect the amplifier from extreme ambient temperature and relative humidity. Also, if the servo amplifier is used in residential areas, small industrial, or commercial areas, then additional filter measures must be implemented by the user. Although the S74802-2CF2-NA servo amplifier intended for use with an AC mains input power supply, it can also maintain smooth operation with DC input either for single or group installation. However, the use of DC inputs has not be evaluated by Kollmorgen. DC installations must be reviewed by users for branh circuit protection, wire size, wire voltage rating, current rating and overvoltage. The S74802-2CF2-NA servo amplifier is not intended for use in offshore applications or on ships, it is also unsuited for operation in potentially explosive areas and environments with electrically conductive acids, alkaline solutions, vapors, and dusts. The rated supply voltage for the servo amplifier falls between 208 to about 480 volts. Also the rated input power for continuous operation is about 35 kilovolts per ampere.
