The amplifier is a modular device that is designed according to the IP20 protection category. The servo amplifier also intended to be used by well trained and qualified personnel who are familiar with Kollmorgen products, and have gone through the documentation delivered with the device. The S74802-2CF2-F2 servo amplifier is designed to be used with synchronous, asynchronous, and induction motors. When used with any of these motor designs, a rapid response automatization system that can be used in various production and processing application is formed. The unique design of the S74802-2CF2-F2 servo drive amplifier allows for the effective temperature regulation via natural convection, however an internal air blower is also integrated into the amplifier to aid the temperature regulation process via forced ventilation. The S74802-2CF2-F2 industrial servo drive is delivered with a built-in option fan controller option card, this option card reduces the noise emission generated by the fan by switching it on and off with 50% rated speed, depending on temperature values. The S74802-2CF2-F2 servo amplifier contains an internal brake resistor. During motor braking, the excess energy is fed back into the servo amplifier which uses the motor resistor to safely convert the electrical energy into heat energy which can be easily dissipated. The brake resistor is switched in by the brake circuit.
