Product Description

Particularly suitable for complex, multi-axis applications where failure is not an option, the SERVOSTAR-650 is an extremely flexible and powerful servo amplifier for the most demanding industrial situations. It has the maximum starting time of 2ms typical delays feature and for the digital outputs the response time takes upto 10ms. Operation is very fast and efficient. The amplifier is rated at 4AT AT external fusing and is constructed for a lead loop resistance of 159.8 ohms over the kms and a maximum cable capacitance of 60nF over the km. The supply filter proved territories in which interference caused by power supply cables is transmitted to deliver clean power.

Thermal management is one of the features of the SERVOSTAR 650 and is done using thermal sensitive devices embedded within the motor winding such as PTCs (Positive Temperature Coefficients). The temperature of the system is confined to certain maximum and minimum limits and hence burning of the system is avoided and its lifetime improved. Each workspace in the amplifier has a correspondent correction induction Tn which is required to optimize the closed loop control circuit of the motor. Also, the SSI- interface offers a cyclically absolute, positional serial output of the direction which is critical for the applications made on the positioning.

The amplifier is also designed with setpoint ramps which limit the movement of the speed setpoint and hence allow steady acceleration and deceleration of the motor. The system has 120 ohm resistors (metal film tolerance of 1%) rated at 0.25 W which enhances reliable and accurate processing of signals.
