Product Description

The SERVOSTAR-614 is an amplifier of a pulse servo system which distinguishes itself through its attitude towards motor control and is characterized by using very powerful features appropriate for industry. It works with supply voltage inputs of 24V, thats within a range of 18-36V and within the specification of IEC 61131 and its consumption is 100mA plus in dependably the total current of the outputs on the board control input wiring. The amplifier can recognize differential input signals of ~10 V and process signals of very high 14-bit accuracy. The loop DC resistance on lead is 159.8 and maximum coaxial lead cable capacitance is 60nF/km which ensures signal do not degrade over long lengths.

The SERVOSTAR 614 is fitted with a ROD-interface for incremental position output and standard ferrite rings (ring cores) are used for achieving signal improvement in environments with high electromagnetic interference. The reversing mode can be used by the amplifier allowing periodic reversing operation to be performed, and also includes a resolver/digital transducer for encoding an analog signal from a resolver into a digital format. The system also comprises a power contactor including phase monitoring for the system protection and a potential isolation in order to underpin electrical isolation between circuits thereby improving reliability whilst minimizing sources of interference. Control loop gain Kp, P-gain is adjustable to allow fine tuning of the system response upon motion of the motor.

To address heat issues, the amplifier has a forced fan that comes into operation when the internal temperature exceeds 58C or when the heat sink temperature goes over 65C. Whenever the fan is turned on, the internal brake resistor can have a power loss over 30W, which aids in braking efforts.
