Product Description

The SERVOSTAR-606-FAN is an advanced and fully digital servo amplifier for motor control applications in the industrial domain. It bears operational reliability and advanced control features. There is a common mode range of ~ 10 V around the input differential of ~ 10 V and it has a resolution of 14 bits with the input being grounded at terminal X3/7. The amp also allows for a fast update rate of 62.5 us thus control is highly dynamic. The amplifier comes with a ROD-interface for adding incremental position output and it installs ferrite rings (ring cores) for noise suppression of circuitry that is likely to be exposed to adverse conditions.

Particularly, the SERVOSTAR 606-FAN contains pension isolation, which electrically separates between circuits in order to provide more safety and less interference. Monitoring of the system signals feeds a power contactor with phase monitoring so that the system hardware receives protection even under operating conditions. The amplifier suitably controls rms current (Irms) and provides for the cooling of its internal components with water free of temperature increase greater than 55C and of heat sink free of less than 60C during off status of the fan. Internal brake resistor heating clearing conforms that during braking, braking dissipates wasting not more than 20W.

As for the feedback the amplifier offers incremental encoders (X5) which have a frequency limit of 1.5 MHz and sine-cosine encoders without data channels (X1) with a frequency limit of 350 kHz. The feedbacks imply performing a 'wake & shake' procedure to gather all the necessary initial position information for the position controller each time a 24V auxiliary power supply is switched on.
