The SERVOSTAR-443M-S is a high-performance servo amplifier which is manufactured specially for industrial use, which is complete with extensive reliability and programmability for the control of the motors. This model incorporates two analog inputs, four digital individually configurable inputs and two digital customizable outputs, making it able to acquire various control configurations. There is also an allowance for programming of logical combinations of the available digital signals for use in relatively sophisticated automation systems.
The amplifier additionally contains a logical system for the introduction of the expansion card that enables the system to integrate different modes of industrial communication. I/O-14/08, PROFIBUS DP, SERCOS, DeviceNet, EtherCat, and SynqNet expansion cards can all be accommodated, allowing one to interface almost any control system. The instrument is only 70mm wide making it easy to install at places where space is a constraint. It supports also works with embedded RS232, which is used as a communication channel and it has also embedded AS, for safety purpose against unwanted restart of the positioned device.
One promising feature of the SERVOSTAR 443M-S is its capability of controlling more than one servo amplifier that are interconnected through a common DC bus system, that is DC+ and DC-. Due to the fact that the design includes a regen circuit, it is possible to connect several amplifiers, whose current ratings are different, to the same bus and without the use of additional equipment. The total combined peak power and continuous power obtained from parallel amplifiers is always much more than that used by the system enabling increase in the efficiency of the system. When the overvoltage fault occurs, the amplifier that will switch off at the lowest threshold will do so, as explained in the operational procedures document.
