Product Description

The SERVOSTAR-406A-P is highly efficient, compact and flexible which also acts as a servo amplifier for accurate movements in industrial settings, having various types of encoders installed and having great power management efficiencies. It has the ability to work with SinCos Encoders with HIPERFACE and SinCos Encoders without data channel both limits at 350kHz frequency. The same drive also works with ROD (AquadB) 5V encoders supporting operation at 1.5Mhz and 350kHz, ROD (AquadB) 24V encoders at 100kHz, SSI 5V encoders at 1.5MHz and Step/Direction inputs at 5V 1.5MHz and 24V 100kHz. Such versatility suits a multitude of precise and efficient systems in factories that warrant effective feedback control focusing on motion.

This amplifier is intended for direct connection to a grounded three-phase b supply voltage in the range of 110V to 480V and has the internal B6 bridge rectifier, the supply filter, and the soft-start circuit aimed at safe and effective operation. The use of a single phase is also possible during setup aiding in usage at installation as well as maintenance. The user is required to provide the fusing for the power part of the unit which is shielded and all connections to the shielding are located at the amplifier for noise control purposes.

It is impressive how the SERVOSTAR 406A-P integrates an IGBT module in the output stage together with floating measurement of currents further improving dependability for dynamic use. The integrated regen circuit distributes regenerative power amongst several mounted amplifiers sharing one DC bus link with also external regen resistors being addable if need be. The required DC voltage bus link is either 135 to 450 V DC or 260 to 900 V DC and these are able to be connected in parallel for in-system power optimization.
