The SERVOSTAR-400-M features a compact design suitable for various industrial applications without ridiculing on safety and reliability and the international standards are adhered to. The second continuous ratings and performances include 2.5 kVA input power for an AC howler useful in many industrial applications. The unit specifies the use of copper conductors in the wiring procedure of the unit in accordance with EN 60204 or NEC Table 310-16 with an AWG cross-section.
This model recognizes ongoing CE, UL, and cUL certification enabling the product to be sold in these regions which is required to be trained under controlled temperatures. Weighing 2.7 kg and measuring 278 mm high by 70 mm wide and 171 mm deep (235 mm with connectors) makes the SERVOSTAR 400-M easy to use as it can be conveniently placed within control cabinets where space is very limited. The amplifier demonstrates good thermal management with a rated current thermal dissipation of 60W (including PSU losses) and 12W for the deactivated output stages. The device is also designed for high current usage in demanding conditions. At the rated current, the residual voltage drop does not exceed 5V and the unit has a bandwidth of the sub-ordinate current controller which is greater than 1.2 kHz providing for high stable and rapid response control.
The SERVOSTAR 400-M provides a disarming attention to detail in terms of safety. A safe restart lock is built into the machine that satisfies the requirements of safety category 3 according to the approximation given by EN 954-1. Also known as the restart lock, this gadget helps avert unintentional restart of the equipment, therefore, securing the operator. The amplifier also has an overvoltage protection system with thresholds of 455 VDC/ 800 VDC/ 900 VDC within which it operates safely and with a maximum DC bus link voltage of 900V.
