Product Description
Kollmorgen is a multi-national corporation that delivers motion equipment for automation. Kollmorgen offers a broad set of systems such as electric drives, AGV technology, linear actuators and servo motors for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). Ithas acquired a solid position in the automation market among its competitors. The S443M-SE is included in the SERVOSTAR 400 series of electric drives. The SERVOSTAR 400 series features two types of modules: Master Modules and Axis Modules. Master Modules are to be mounted at the beginning the rack and its purpose is to both control a motor and to convert the AC power supply onto the DC bus that is shared with other servo drives on the rack. The S443M-SE is Master Module that runs on a 230/400 V AC power supply.
The S443M-SE may be commanded by an additonal device via the integrated SERCOS fieldbus interface.
The drive can deliver to the connected motor a stable current of 3 ampere and can supply the connected motor a maximum current of 6000 mA (only for a time period of 5 seconds). The environment temperature around the S443M-SE has to stay between 0 and 45 degrees Celsius if the system is turned on and has to be between -25 and 55 degrees Celsius if the module is in a storage.
This model must be installed in an area endowed by IEC 60664-1 pollution protection 2 where only only non-conductive alteration will occur. The parameter setup of the S443-SE can be performed with the drive setup program attaching a common PC to the amplifier using its embedded RS232 interface (X8). The servoamplifier supports a plenty of feedbacks like 5V incremental encoders, resolvers, HIPERFACE encoders and ComCoders with its built-in ports.
