The S403M-PB is a digital servo amplifier that is intended to be used with the manufacturer’s brushless synchronous servo motors. It is manufactured by Kollmorgen. The servo amplifier must be used in commercial, business or residential areas only after implementing additional filter measures. This unit must be earthed safely to the protective earth busbar inside the switch cabinet. The live sections of the device must be touched only after five minutes of it being disconnected from the main power supply. The settings of the servo amplifier must not be modified using the setup software. The rated voltage of the servo motor in which the amplifier is used must be at least the same as the DC bus link of the servo amplifier.
The S403M-PB unit must not be used directly on asymmetrically grounded supplies that have a voltage rating of more than 230V. The device should also not be directly kept on non-grounded supply networks. It must not be commissioned in motors that fail to comply with national directives. This product must be stored between -25°C and +55°C. If the unit is stored for more than a year, then its capacitors must be reformed before commissioning. When the servo amplifier is cleaned, care must be taken to ensure that no liquid goes inside it. The product must make use of Class 1 copper wires.
The S403M-PB must be kept away from environments with dust, vapors, oils, alkaline solutions as well as electrically conductive or corrosive environments. The product must be used only in a Pollution Degree 2 environment. It offers overload protection to the solid-state motor at 130% of full load current. It cannot sense the over-temperature of the motor. The device must be incorporated only in electrical machines and plants intended for industrial use. It can be shipped anywhere in the world.
