Product Description

The SERVOSTAR-346 is a highly functional and efficient servo drive from the S300 Series. The unit is developed with modern automation technology in mind and will bear todays industrial practice without breaking down easily. With this drive, one can expect reliable performance in applications that require continuous operation, as this drive rated input power is 5 kVA.

This servo drive is bipolar and provides efficient three phase supply of three phase voltages ranges from 3x208V to 3x480V depending on the different power standards of industries. Rated output current is 6 Arms regardless of the voltage level supported. The peak output current of 12 Arms for a short duration not exceeding 5 seconds can also be provided by the drive for applications where instances of high demand arises. The switching frequency of 8 kHz, also reflected in (the output current) form factor of 1.01 that is high, helps the drive to deliver stable output power.

The subordinate current controller bandwidth of 1.2 kHz relatively facilitates quick load response so that precision control remains even in constant acceleration scenarios. The unit has a maximum DC bus link of 900V and is capable of working under the above speed interval for switching ON/OFF cycles no more than 30 times per hour, thus easing the start-stop cycling hassle. To ensure safety, allow five minutes to pass before an individual is allowed to touch any of the live sections or undo any connections after the disconnection of the servo amplifier since some of the capacitors may still be storing dangerous voltage. It is suggested that the voltage in the DC bus link circuit be measured in order to make sure that it is lower than 40V so as to avoid any risks when doing that.
