Product Description
With expansion slots to support expansion cards, SERVOSTAR 300 series of digital servo drives from Kollmorgen are capable of adapting to the existing industrial network. This lowers the cost because only the expansion card has to be changed when the industrial communication option changes. Apart from allowing the drives to adapt to the required connectivity option, expansion slots allow for the expansion of the number of inputs and outputs. The functions of the inputs and outputs can be altered using the setup software consequently adding to the flexibility and adaptability of the drive. Kollmorgen S300 drives are ideal for use with asynchronous or synchronous servo motors with control of speed, torque, and or position.
The S30601-EC is a digital servo drive manufactured by Kollmorgen. It has an EtherCAT connectivity option allowing it to seamlessly fit into the existing EtherCAT network. With an EtherCAT interface the baud rate is set automatically and eliminates the need for manual address setting. The S30601-EC is powered by an input voltage ranging from 208 Volts AC and 480 Volts AC enabling it to fit into the existing industrial power supply network. For optimal performance, the Kollmorgen servo drive should be operated in an environment with an ambient temperature of between a minimum of 0.0 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 40.0 degrees Celsius.
The Kollmorgen S30601-EC supports a vertical mounting position and has its cooling provided by built-in fan that is optionally controlled. Note that a built-in fan enables the drive to maintain the permissible operating temperature consequently enhancing the drives reliability and effectiveness. The S30601-EC has a continuous current rating of 6 Amperes RMS. The drive belongs to the Kollmorgen S300 series of digital drives.
