The Servostar 300 series is part of the digital servo amplifiers made by Kollmorgen. The Servostar 300 series is known for being robust, compact and durable. The S30361-MN is part of the S300 family. It has a current rating of 3A arms and a voltage rating of 110-230V. It also has an electronically isolated auxiliary supply voltage of 24V DC. The S30361-MN has digital current controller which includes pulse-width modulation and space vectoring. This digital servo amplifier has an adjustable digital speed controller and an integrated step/direction interface to connect a servo motor to a stepper controller. This amplifier also has an incremental encoder emulation that is compatible with A quad B or SSI. The S30361-MN has several safety features such as residual current protection, leakage current protection and emergency stop button.
The operating temperature for S30361-MN is between 0˚C to 40˚C under power rated conditions and can be operated to a maximum temperature of 55˚C with power derating of 2.5%/˚C. S30361-MN has a Safe Torque Off (STO) option. The STO acts as a functional restart lock and has several advantages. With a restart lock STO, the DC bus link remains charged up and only low voltages are switched. For safe operations, it is advised that S30361-MN is mounted vertically in a location where natural convection can easily take place. S30361-MN has an IP 20 enclosure therefore, it offers some protection against big external objects.
