The S30301-NA-020 is a state of the art digital servo amplifier produced by Kollmorgen. With a 70 mm width, 270 mm height, and 170 mm depth, the system has a 2.7 kg mass. The servo amplifier is used for control of a motor’s speed, torque, and position. Together with a motor’s position/speed sensor, the servo amplifier forms the main part of the closed-loop feedback mechanism. For integration with the CAN-bus system, the amplifier has the CAN-bus onboard. For better functional safety, a safe torque off (STO) option and an emergency stop switch is provided. With an intelligent position controller and multi feedback, this model is ideal for controlling synchronous motors, servo motors, high-frequency spindles, and DC motors. The system can operate on both single and three-phase power supply and requires a 1.2 kVA input for continuous operation.

The S30301-NA-020 comes with an interference suppression filter for the electric supply and the 24 VDC input. Appropriate distance has been kept between signal electronics and power input to ensure safe electrical insulation. The S30301-NA-020 comes with a complete digital mode of operation. The speed, velocity, position, and current can be controlled through digital controllers. A software is also pre-installed that is used for managing operational parameters. The software can be operated through a PC or with the help of two keys and a three-figure LED. Other important safety features that come with the system are over-voltage protection, soft start, and temperature monitoring of the motor and amplifier.
