The S30101-NA is a digital servo amplifier that is used for servo applications in DC motors, synchronous motors, and high-frequency spindles. The servo amplifier can operate on a single and three-voltage and comes under the overvoltage category III according to EN standards. The system has two analog inputs onboard and a slot for an expansion card is provided that can support various types of expansion cards. The device comes with a smart position controller and supports multi-feedback. This makes the system very suitable for accurate position and speed control. The system comes with two analog inputs along with four digital inputs. The electrical supply and the 24 volts DC supply voltage are provided with electrical interference filters. Furthermore, suitable insulation has been provided between power input and signal electronics.
The S30101-NA requires a 1.2 kVA input for continuous operation. At a three-phase, 230 V supply, the system has a 2 A output current. The amplifier’s brake circuit automatically shuts off at a specified voltage value. At 230 V, the brake circuit is switched off at 455 VDC. This is done to avoid over-voltage failure. The temperature of the motor and the servo amplifier is also monitored to avoid overheating. This model has a completely digital operation with digital controllers provided for controlling the speed, current, and position. A step controller is also provided for integrating the servo motor with a stepper controller. Lastly, a PROFIBUS expansion card can also be inserted into the system.
