The S200 drive series offers a wide range of low-voltage drives. These drives have been segregated on the basis of AC and DC voltage. Moreover, the AC drives are further classified into single-phase or 3-phase units. Functionality wise, there are four major categories; VTS, CNS, SRS, and SDS. The S200-VTS family of drive is related to controlling the velocity or torque of the servomotors.
The S20360-VTS belongs to the S200-VTS family of basic drives. This servo drive operates on AC power supply. It can be operated as a single-phase unit or a 3-phase unit. The base drive unit produces a continuous current of 3 ARMS while its current can reach up to 9 ARMS in just 3 seconds. The 3-phase option requires a voltage of 240 Vac and it generates continuous power up to 1100 watts. The 3-phase drive generates maximum power up to 6000 VA while a single-phase unit offers 2600 VA (on 240 Vac). The S20360-VTS by Kollmorgen offers 3-5 kHz current loop bandwidth that accounts for high performance and accuracy. Such a wide bandwidth allows for quick start-n-stop action and smooth motion of the machine.
The Velocity/Torque drive by Kollmorgen has been recognized by international certification bodies like UL, CE and EC etc. The S20360-VTS drive meets the EC directives for low voltage operation. Moreover, S200 drive models have also got EU RoHS conformity. In short, the S20360-VTS drive is quite safe to operate with low-power applications.
