The 502-04137-00 model is an ETHERNET- TCP/IP module developed by Kollmorgen to provide internet connectivity to the PiC (programmable industrial computer). The ETHERNET- TCP/IP module provides the maximum data transfer rate of 10 Mbps and several PiCs and PCs can be connected with this single unit. The PiCPro for Window running over Ethernet can be enabled/disable by using the Remote Programmer Access key. The front panel of the TCP/IP module is equipped with a DIAG LED, 5 Ethernet port LEDs, and 4 communication port LEDs. The module comes with two RS232 serial interfaces that help in developing effective communication with other I/O modules. Following the IEEE 802.3 specifications, connections for 10Base T, AUI, and 10Base 2 are provided in this model. The ETHERNET- TCP/IP module can be connected to the PC by using the RS232 communication port. An RJ-45 style 8-pin connector is used for the 10Base-T port whereas, the 10Base-2 and AUI ports use BNC style and shielded D style connectors. A 32-bit high-speed processor is installed in this unit.
The model 502-04137-00 can operate perfectly at the minimum ambient temperature of +7 degree Celsius and the maximum ambient temperature of +55 degree Celsius. The logic side power requirements of the unit are +5V at 1250 mA and ±15V at 30 mA. The unit is designed to absorb four shocks per axis and the overall dimensions of the module are 41mm wide, 305mm high, and 213mm deep.
