The Pic 900 is a state of the art industrial PC that is used for a wide variety of industrial motion control tasks. The 502-03817-03 is a remote service module (RSM) within the PiC 900 industrial PC. It converts the incoming power to regulated DC power. The RSM module is able to supply power to the modules in the expansion rack through the bus. The RSM module is able to convert the incoming input DC power at voltages of 5V, 15 V, and -15 V. The DC power is then supplied to the logic side of the modules in the rack. The RSM comes with different diagnostic LEDs that turn on briefly whenever power is turned on in the system. The CPU module contains a processor that automatically runs diagnostic tests on all modules at the power-up. The device is supplied with a 110V to 230 VAC power source at a frequency of 2 A.
The 502-03817-03 is supplied with a DC power source of 20 to 60 VDC. A 3-terminal input connector is provided in the system. The plug connector meets all the specifications highlighted in the IEC 529 and DIN VDE 0470 standards. The device has a strong build quality and is able to sustain four shocks per axis (15g/11 msec). The vibration protection of this model is also satisfactory. It can sustain a 0.15 mm amplitude with a 10-57 Hz frequency. The device can also handle a 2g acceleration between a 57 to 2000 Hz frequency range. This model can be used in areas where the ambient humidity conditions are between 5% to 95%.
