Product Description
The Kollmorgen 502-03638-11R2 is a CPU module for PiC900 systems. The module specifications include 16-megahertz clock speed, 64 kilobytes application memory and 32 kilobytes user memory. The number of servo axes varies with the update rate: it is 16 at 8 milliseconds, 8 at 4 milliseconds, 4 at 2 milliseconds, 2 at 1 millisecond and 1 at 0.5 milliseconds. Main functions of a PiC900 CPU module include execution of the application program, execution of diagnostic on the system and modules and communication with external devices through the RS-232 serial port. The 502-03638-11R2 is a Turbo model and is based on the 80C186 CPU. Several types of CPU modules are available for the PiC900 systems which vary in the clock speed (6 to 25 Megahertz), amount of application memory (64 to 256 kilobytes), RAM (0 to 256 kilobytes) and the number of servo axes served.
The 502-03638-11R2 has two RS232 serial ports: the PiCPro port for communication with workstations, and a user port for communication with external serial devices. Baud rates supported by the PiCPro port range from 300 to 115200 baud. Maximum baud rates supported by the user port is 19.2 kilobaud. The recommended working temperature range for the 502-03638-11R2 is 45 to 131 degrees Fahrenheit. When not in use, the 502-03638-11R2 module should be stored in an environment where the temperature is kept between -40- and 185-degrees Fahrenheit. The non-condensing relative humidity range is from 0 to 95%. The 502-03638-11R2 conforms to noise immunity as per ICS 3-304. The CPU module is UL and cUL listed. Dimensions of the module are 41 x 305 x 213 millimeters. Only trained personnel should install the module.
