Product Description
Kollmorgen is a manufacturer of industrial automation products and motion control equipment for industrial automation.
The 502-03552-22 is an input resolver module inside the PiC 900. The PiC 900 is a programable interface computer in which the software and hardware components are integrated with a central processing unit. The PiC is used in different types of automation roles and can be used for user defined functions. The 502-03552-22 input resolver module is able to interface two to four independent resolvers or equivalent transducers. Multiple separate position counters can be updated with information from the resolver. The information from resolvers is also able to update latches within a module. Two sine waves 90° are sent by the sent for each channel. The two sine waves are 90° out of phase. The module also receives a signal whose phase represents the angular position of the resolver. This improves the position control capabilities of the device.
The 502-03552-22 can update a 24-bit counter. The module can then be programmed to store the counter value upon receiving a signal. The device is able to measure the position of a transducer that accepts a 2-phase quadrature excitation. Such transducers include a resolver or a potentiometer. This model operates on 2 kHz excitation frequency. Its output voltage is 16 V. The resolver used in this model has a resolution of 4000 Feedback Units (FUs) per electrical revolution. The maximum electrical velocity of this device is 15000 RPM. This module can be used in areas where humidity levels are between 5% to 95%. The device can be operated in areas where the ambient temperature is between 7° C to 55 °C.
