Product Description
The Kollmorgen 502-03512-03 is a Central Service Module (CSM). It is designed for use with PiC900 control systems. The module is AC powered and is designed for 110 to 230 Volts AC at 47 to 63 Hertz. The current consumption of the module is 2 Amps. The total power output of the module is 50 Watts. Purpose of the CSM is to convert the incoming power to regulated DC power. The CSM supplies this regulated DC power to modules in the master rack and the RSM supplies power to modules in an expansion rack. Additional features of the CSM include scan control, a lithium battery for providing backup power to NVARM in the CPU module and an internal clock. The CSM module must be located in the first slot on the left in the master rack.
Power to the 502-03512-03 module is supplied through a 3-pin power connector. The incoming power is converted to DC power at voltages of +5 Volt, +15 Volts and -15 Volts. This DC power is supplied to logic sides of the modules in the rack. Power for the field side of I/O modules is supplied from external power supplies. the I/O power supply is not controlled form the on/off switch located on the front panel of the CSM module. Replacement of the 502-03512-03 module should only be performed after the main power to the system is disconnected. Current date and time on the 502-03512-03 are maintained by an internal clock. In case of loss of power, the backup battery maintains the internal clock. Trained personnel should install and operated the PiC900 system and associated modules such as the CSM module.
