The SERVOSTAR Pico Drive holds a very compact design and forms a part of the domains range of servo motors that renders fast and precise control of the motor in various industries especially in the ones where there is a need for interfacing with PLC systems and different communication protocols. It has control inputs of up to 24V / 7mA and signal outputs of up to 24V / max. 500mA which are fully compliant with the IEC 61131 and operate well in an automatic environment. On working with supply inputs of 24 V (18-36V), the amplifier provides an additional current based on the outputs used thus making it versatile to different load capabilities.

There is also a fast acting and responsive addressing pertaining to this servo amplifier in that the minimum addressing time is four 4ms. It works with Windows systems, requires color graphics adapter Windows version as regards the configuration and monitoring activities. The ROD-interface exemplifies a precise incremental position output for high precision motor positioning activities.

Specialized features of the SERVOSTAR Pico Drive include a metal ring core placed for the purposes of suppression of interference in the commuter whose duties are to prevail over layers of noise. In such applications the reversing mode on the other hand permits such operation lying within a region of periodic changes of direction. Moreover, the integrated resolver/digital converter includes a built-in resolver/digital converter that enables feedback of greater accuracy within the control loop by converting the analog signals generated by the resolver into digital information.
