Product Description

The P70530-SDN is a DC micro-stepping drive from Kollmorgen in its P7000 series of drives. The drive features 5A continuous current rating and a 1.8W power rating when the drive is disabled. The device can be mounted both horizontally and vertically to a cold plate using 8x32 screws. The unit has a pollution degree of II. It has an operating temperature of 0°C and 45°C when the drive is unmounted. If the drive makes use of convection cooling, there must be a minimum of 1-inch space on all sides. The device is available with a warranty period of one year.

The DC drive has a high-density 26-position D subminiature female connector that acts as a command I/O. The step input frequency has a maximum value of 2MHz. The ENABLE input is by default left in the open state and has a 5mA current rating. The unit makes use of a series limiting resistor if the pull-up voltage is more than 5VDC. The direction and step signals must be placed away from the motor leads. The general-purpose inputs share one optically isolated pull up/down bus. The step inputs have a minimum ON/OFF time of 800ns.

The micro-stepping drive has a dedicated fault output that indicates when it has a latched condition. When there is a fault, the LED on the front panel blinks repeatedly. The J5 serial connector on the drive supports a full-duplex RS-232 interface. The device is compatible with stepper motors that have a four-flying lead configuration. It removes the resonance associated with step motors using high-speed digital processing activity. The unit can be setup by installing the P7000Tools software and following the setup process. The drive is CE Certified and cUL Recognized. The device can be sent to the address of your choice irrespective of the country you live in.
