The MX2000-2A is a powerful programmable motion controller produced by the company. This model has been designed for controlling industrial machinery with high accuracy and precision. This model comes with a wide variety of inputs and outputs. It has the ability to pair with ‘intelligent’ and ‘dumb’ operator interfaces. This device can function as a standalone system and doesn’t require any operator terminal or host computer for this purpose. The device can control machines with simple switch interfaces via axis I/O or expansion I/O. Two serial ports are provided on the DSP card for serial ports. It is possible to operate the serial ports as RS232 and RS485 devices. The auxiliary port can be used to communicate with a serial device during program execution.

The MX2000-2A is provided with a digital I/O port. The I/O can operate with relays and switches. The inputs and outputs take on the role of sinking and sourcing. The system is also provided with a stepper interface and standard direction and pulse signals are provided on the Axis Card for controlling different types of stepper drives. These signals have been made compatible with drives up to 50,000 pulses per revolution. This controller can be easily programmed in user units such as revolutions or inches based on the drive/motor resolution and characteristics of the machine. The controller’s extensive math functions make this possible. The available math functions include Boolean logic functions, simple motions, complex motions, and trigger motions. The device is capable of multi-tasking of up to 7 concurrent programs at a time.
