The MX2000-2 is a programmable motion controller that is based on DSP. The powerful motion controller comes with a wide range of inputs and outputs. The available software features allow this controller to control an entire sophisticated machine. This model has been designed for seamless communication with either ‘intelligent’ or ‘dumb’ operator interfaces. This controller doesn’t require the use of an operator interface panel or host computer to function as a stand-alone system. The device comes with an Axis card that has standard pulse and direction signals for controlling most types of stepper drives. The direction signals are compatible with drives up to 50,000 pulses per revolution with a maximum pulse rate of 1.99 MHz. This programmable motion controller also comes with analog outputs that can be used as a torque command of a servo drive.

The MX2000-2 comes with inputs from two incremental encoders with a maximum count rate of 2 MHz. The system also contains a 5VDC power which is used to power the encoders. The controller is provided with a built-in AC line filter and MOV’s. To supply the I/O, a built-in 24 VDC supply is provided. The system operates on a 90 to 265 VAC on a 50/60 Hz input frequency. The device provides BASIC line coding and has full math capability including square root, log, and trigonometric functions. In addition, Boolean logic functions and complex motions like arc, line, and path are also supported. The system allows changing velocity during motion and supports trigger motions like move-home. The controller also displays warning messages for error handling.
