The Kollmorgen MTC524C2-M1C1 is a digital servo motor. It is designed to be used with Kollmorgen Servostar drive controllers. The servo motor has a 130 millimeters frame size and medium stack length. The magnet stack on the motor lends rigidity to the stator on the motor. The motor voltage rating is 400 Volts AC. The Goldline series to which the MTC524C2-M1C1 belongs also includes motors rated for 230 Volts AC. The motor features an integrated holding brake. The function of the brake is to prevent motor rotor movement until 24 Volts DC signal is applied to the brake to release it. The shaft on the MTC524C2-M1C1 is standard and includes a seal. This seal helps to improve the operating life of the motor by providing protection to the motor bearings.
Environmental protection rating of the MTC524C2-M1C1 motor is IP65. The power and feedback connectors on the motor are right angle connectors that can be rotated. The MTC524C2-M1C1 is a maximum inertia motor. Options for Goldline XT motors that can be ordered include CE compliant mating connectors and IP67 sealing. Goldline XT motors feature very low cogging and torque ripple for smooth motor operation. The Goldline XT motors are available in a compact and rugged package that is suitable for heavy industrial environments.
