Product Description
The Kollmorgen MTC502B2-R1C1 is a Goldline XT 50 series servo motor. Features of the Goldline product range include multiple stack lengths, short overall motor lengths, optimized torque to inertia ratios, low cogging and torque ripple, speed to 6000 RPM standard, increased thermal time constant, English, and metric standard mounting, optimized windings to match Servostar drives, rotatable connectors, rugged resolver feedback and integrated thermostat. Options for Goldline motors include IP67 sealing, holding brake, mating connector, tapered shaft, and maximum inertia rotor. Proprietary stator assembly on Goldline motors provides a more efficient heat transfer for high torque density and also increased thermal time constants for longer machine overloads. Goldline series motors that are designed for use with Servostar drives are equipped with a single speed resolver and rotatable connectors that are CE compliant.
The MTC502B2-R1C1 comes with a 24 Volts DC electrically releasing brake for control directly by a Servostar 600 drive. Frame size of the motor is 130 millimeters. The voltage rating is 0 to 230 Volts AC. The magnet stack length is 2 or short. The rotor on the MTC502B2-R1C1 has maximum inertia. The feedback device is a resolver. The mounting configuration for the MTC502B2-R1C1 is a straight shaft with key. Connection option available on the MTC502B2-R1C1 is a right-angle rotatable connector. The motor has a IP65 rated housing. The motor shaft has a sealing ring. This seal on the motor shaft protects motor bearings from dust and moisture and enables a longer operating life span for the motor bearings. The seal, however, undergoes wear and tear. Therefore, it should be periodically inspected and replaced when it degrades to the extent that it is unable to perform its intended function.
