The MTC1506A1-R2C1 is an industrial synchronous motor specially designed by Kollmorgen to generate precise and well-controlled kinetic energy for industrial servo systems. This device is manufactured according to international quality standards; it is designed with a durable housing unit that allows it to operate smoothly in hazardous and potentially explosive areas. This device also features special sensors that monitor the motor's operation in real-time and provide the servo drive with the information necessary to adjust this operation in a closed-loop control system. This motor uses Kollmorgen unique magnetic design system; thus, it can generate high torque with very low cogging. The motor also contains a potentiometry stator assembly that allows it to generate a high torque density and fit into very tight spaces.
Under normal operating conditions, the MTC1506A1-R2C1 industrial servo motor operates with an efficiency as high as 95 percent; it can maintain this high-efficiency level for a very long time without experience any major mechanical failure. The rated speed at which this industrial servo motor operates is about 6000 revolutions per minute; at this speed, the controller can generate a power output of about 0.67 kilowatts and a torque output of 4.62-newton meters. An additional holding brake can be integrated into this industrial motor; this break helps to hold the load connected to the motor's shaft in place when the motor is at a standstill.
This industrial motor also operates with about eight pole pairs; it also generates static friction of about 0.024-newton meters during operation. The electrical components of this industrial motor can generate an electromagnetic field that can interfere with the operation of medical devices such as hearing aids, cardiac pacemakers, and metal implants; thus, persons wearing any of these devices should not be allowed to move near this industrial motor.
