The M-815-A-21 is a member of the Kollmorgen M Goldline series of high performance motors. It has a compact design and its very useful for so many applications. The control of the motor is fully digitalized and it operates with an input power supply of 230V. The maximum speed recommended for M-815-A-21 is 2000rpm. It has an in-built thermostat and a rear shaft extension. The thermostat ensures that the motor’s temperature is constantly cooled to avoid over-heating. The M-815-A-21 has a continuous torque and a peak toque of 42.0Nm and 94.2Nm respectively. Its continuous power of 7.9kW is required to produce a maximum speed. It has 60 phases of peak current ranting.

The M-815-A-21 has a weight of 86.Kg and 15.3kW of peak torque at stall. The input and output ports on its case include bus status relay, C1 serial communications, C7 Inter SERVOSTAR communications, motor power ports, C4 encoder, C2 encoder, C3 user, and C2 resolver feedback. All these input and output ports has several pins and phases. It has digital oscilloscope which record the functions of the motor speed and the current at all time. Its rear shaft extension is responsible for the increased speed of rotation.

The M-815-A-21 is properly packaged with quality and very attractive rugged metal which improves the motor’s performance and also protect its important parts from damages. It has PTC resistive soft-start technology which stops the regular tripping of breakers and fuses during operation. It works with IP67 sealing method for its connectors in accordance to IEC 60529. It has a motor inertial of (888 x 10⁴) kg-m² and internal power dissipation of 254W. The internal power dissipation results from the product of the current and voltage supplied to the motor.
