Kollmorgen M GOLDLINE series motors have become the industry standard for servo applications. By using high energy rare earth permanent magnets, these Kollmorgen motors are capable of delivering high power density and torque for point-to-point, high response applications. To unleash the full power of Kollmorgen GOLDLINE motors, SERVOSTAR fully-digital amplifiers should be used with M Goldline motors. The amplifier has servo control features such as self-tuning to the load, advanced sinewave commutation technology, precision torque control, among others. The Kollmorgen SERVOSTAR amplifier offers easy connectivity, has a robust design, and supports a Windows start up environment.
The M-813-B-A9-B2S-053 is a Kollmorgen GOLDLINE series motor with medium inertia. It has seven times higher inertia than the Kollmorgen GOLDLINE low inertia (B-Series) motors enabling it to provide the much needed performance in systems with complaint loads or large inertia mismatches. The M-813-B-A9-B2S-053 uses a resolver for feedback allowing the motor to be deployed in an environment with relatively high vibrations, shock, and electrical disturbances. Motors in the GOLDLINE M-Series (medium inertia) are designed to support additional options such as a fail-safe brake, mating connectors, and front mounted gearheads. M-Series motors belong to class H insulation and have an excellent thermal design that incorporates a built-in thermostat.
The Kollmorgen M-813-B-A9-B2S-053 operates with an input voltage of 230 Volts. The motor is compatible with a SERVOSTAR digital amplifier that is used for motor torque control (peak current, motor current command, continuous current) and motor velocity control (stop, jog, set, maximum speed, acceleration/deceleration rates, and acceleration/deceleration ramp). Since the M-813-B-A9-B2S-053 has an in-built thermostat, the fully digital amplifier can be programmed to address how it responds when the thermostat opens.
