Product Description
The Kollmorgen Goldline series of motors has increased control and reduced the cost of running industrial applications. Goldline servo motors are available in low inertia, medium inertia, and explosion-proof motors. The low and medium inertia motors have a high torque to volume ratio, can reach maximum speeds of up to 7500 revolutions per minute, have a rear shaft extension, and belong to the class H insulation group. For communication, this family of motors employ either an encoder or a resolver. Notably, motors meant for harsh industrial environments use a resolver for feedback because it can withstand extreme temperatures, it’s durable, and its resistant to electrical disturbances.
The M-605-B-A9-260 is a brushless servo motor manufactured by Kollmorgen. The motor has a rated speed of 3150 revolutions per minute and is part of the Kollmorgen Goldline medium inertia series of motors. To allow for easier but stable interfacing, it features a shaft diameter of 32 millimeters, a shaft length of 68 millimeters, an overall length of roughly 500 millimeters, and a width of 143 millimeters. Being a Kollmorgen medium inertia motor, the M-605-B-A9-260 has an international protection rating of IP 65. This protection rating implies that the motor’s internal components are completely protected against dust and low pressure water jets coming from any angle. An IP 65 rating implies that the motor is vacuum sealed and has been checked against continuous airflow.
The Kollmorgen M-605-B-A9-260 supports options such as mating connector for firm connections, fail-safe brake, front mounted gearheads, and a IP 67 rating that protects the motor against water even when immersed in water for 30 minutes at depths ranging from 15 centimeters to one meter.
