M-205-A-23 is a M Kollmorgen Goldline series motor. This type of motor provides unparalleled performance and value in a wide array of applications on the factory floor. Thanks to the rare earth neodymium-iron-boron magnets and thermal design, it provides exceptional acceleration capabilities and continuous torque performance that bolster production. When coupled with a ServoStar digital amplifier, the whole system becomes a high performance easy to setup motion control system. This brushless motor is lightweight and comes with industrial-grade connectors and frameless resolver.

The M-205-A-23 falls under the M series which has medium inertia. It has at least seven times inertia compared to other servo motors. It is ideal for systems having complaint loads or large inertia mismatches. It is compact coming with a large torque to volume ratio. The motor can achieve speeds of up to 7500RPM and comes in a Class H insulation which enables it to withstand high temperature. Other crucial features include built-in thermostat, rugged resolver feedback, and rear shaft extension. The M-205-A-23 motor also comes with several options such as mating connectors, NEMA mountings, IP-67 sealing, and encoder feedback. M-205-A-23 can be used with a Kollmorgen Servostar amplifier for optimal performance. The amplifier is used to simplify installation and system set-up. Servostar amplifiers used with the M-205-A-23 servo motor, come with three algorithms to better suit each application. They include PDFF, PI, and Pole Placement control algorithm. The amplifier meets CE, UL, and ULC approval. The ambient conditions of the M-205-A-23 include a storage temperature of -20 to 70 degrees and an operating temperature of 0 to 45 degrees.
