Product Description
The Kollmorgen KSM 100-4 is KSM-modular safety controller. It features 40 safe I/O’s that can be configured as either input or outputs. The KSM 100-4 has the reset, start, and quit buttons on the front panel for ease access. Additionally, the controller has light emitting diodes on its front side to facilitate easy monitoring and troubleshooting. The controller features dimensional functions for safe speed and range or zone monitoring, complete speed-ad-position-oriented safety functions, and supports CFC oriented programming with SafePLC.
The controller has a rated data digital In, Out, and relay output current of 20 milliAmperes, 250 milliAmperes, and 2 Amperes respectively. For the supply voltage and maximum power consumption, the controller supports 24 Volts DC and 3.2 Watts respectively. Note that the maximum fuse rating that can be used on the controller’s supply voltage should have a rating of 2 Amperes. The KSM 100-4, as with other Kollmorgen controllers, has a rated operating temperature ranging from a minimum of 0 degrees Celsius to a maximum of 50 degrees Celsius. when not in use, or when waiting to be mounted, the controller should be stored in an environment with a surrounding temperature ranging from a minimum of -10 degrees Celsius to a maximum of 70 degrees Celsius.
Whether in operation or being stored, Kollmorgen safety modules/controllers are designed for environments with a non-condensing relative humidity. For mounting, the controller supports a standard head rail using the snap-on method, weighs 920 grams, measures 100 millimeters X 115 millimeters X 157.5 millimeters for its height, depth, and width respectively. The KSM 100-4 supports a maximum of 6 Kollmorgen extension modules.
