Product Description
The KSM 100-2-CN is a programmable controller designed and manufactured by Kollmorgen. It can support a maximum of 130 safe Inputs Outputs and 12 axes. The controller has an inbuilt CANopen communication interface that is used to transfer data between non safe control systems and KSM modular devices. Note that the CANopen interface has a baudrate of 500 kilobits per second. For the implementation of safety related tasks, the KSM 100-2-CN combines CFC (continuous function chart) programming with SafePLC. The controller features a comprehensive library that contains pre-configured safety-bound actors and sensors, a complete speed-ad position-oriented safety functions for safe motion, cross circuit monitoring, and comprehensive diagnostics integrated in the firmware.
To support the connection of extension modules, the controller features a T-bus-connector. The KSM 100-2-CN has 6 standard output lines, 2 pulse output lines, 1 safe relay output, 2 safe digital output lines, and 20 safe digital Inputs Outputs. The controller has an input current of 2 Amperes, a maximum current at the pulse output lines of 250 milliAmperes, an input voltage of 24 Volts DC, and a maximum power consumption rating of 3.2 Watts. For the operating and storage temperatures, Kollmorgen controllers are designed to be operated in an industrial environment with an ambient temperature of between 0.0 degrees Celsius and 50.0 degrees Celsius. When being stored, Kollmorgen advices that the controller be subjected to a temperature of between -10.0 degrees Celsius and 70.0 degrees Celsius.
The KSM 100-2-CN, as with other Kollmorgen safety module and controller, should not be operated or stored in environments with condensing humidity. The controller supports snap-in mounting, weighs 800 grams, and measures (HXDXW)100 by 115 by 135 millimeters.
