The BH-824S-G-G1 is a low inertia servo motor from Kollmorgen. It falls under the GOLDLINE series that provides exceptional performance in a wide variety of applications. This type comes with neodymium-iron-boron rare earth magnets that provide high continuous and peak torque. It comes with a thermal design that mitigates thermal overload and provides unmatched acceleration capabilities. Like other GOLDLINE motors, it is designed to be combined with a SERVOSTAR amplifier. The amplifier simplifies installation and system set-up. It comes with three control algorithms and self-tuning functionality that allow a high-performance operation to be achieved easily.
This is achieved thanks to the easy connectivity, PA series power supply, and robust design. The BH-824S-G-G1 features a compact construction that has a large torque to volume ratio, a built-in thermostat that monitors the temperature, IP-65 sealing, and rear shaft extension to mount additional feedback devices. Low cogging in the BH-824S-G-G1 is achieved thanks to the Interior Permanent Magnet (IPM). To avoid constant re-certification, the motor is CE compliant and UL recognized. Some of the benefits of using the motor are optimum space utilization, application flexibility, high voltage capability, and reliable precise operation.
The BH-824S-G-G1’s digital amplifier has three algorithms namely PI, PDFF, and Pole Placement. They use the MOTIONLINK software for easy system setup. The software takes you through five basic steps. Connecting it to a power source, setting it up for the motor, selecting the operational mode, tuning the amplifier for the load, and storing the settings. These simple steps enable even a novice to control the BH-824S-G-G1. The software has additional features such as PC oscilloscope, selectable tuning algorithms, direct terminal mode, and monitor mode for improved system monitoring.
