Product Description
Kollmorgen Goldline series of motors has revolutionized the industrial automation industry by providing both standard and co-engineered motors to address specific application requirements. With a permanent magnet, Goldline motors are capable of delivering excellent power density and torque when used with applications requiring low or medium inertia. The Goldline series features different types of motors designed for use in a wide range of industrial applications and environments such as explosion-prone environments (Goldline EB series) and underwater operation (Goldline S series). Goldline B/M and BH/MH series are low and medium inertia servo motors that operate with a voltage of between 230 Volts AC (B/M series) and 400/480 Volts AC (BH/MH series). Note that the EB series is based on the B and M series.
The Kollmorgen B-102-A-29-021 is a servo motor in the Goldline low inertia series (B series). It is specially designed for use with applications that experience fast accelerations and deceleration due to its very low inertia rotors. Motors in the Goldline low inertia family have a large torque to volume ratio, belong to the class H insulation, and are UL recognized. The B-102-A-29-021 has an international protection rating of IP 65 preparing it for use in environments with a high level of dust and water splashes coming from all directions.
For feedback, the B-102-A-29-021 features a resolver which lacks sensitive optics allowing the motor to be used in industrial environments with electrical disturbances, higher shocks, and vibrations. With a built-in thermostat, the temperature inside the motor’s frame is accurately monitored and regulated allowing the B-102-A-29-021 to reach optimal performance. The motor has a maximum bus voltage rating of 320 Volts AC and a maximum speed of 7500 revolutions per minute.
