The Kollmorgen H33HRFP-LNK-NS-00 is a hybrid step motor. When in operation, the motor’s frame can reach and or exceed a temperature of 140 degrees Celsius. To avoid the high temperatures from affecting the motor’s performance, an ambient temperature of between -20 degrees Celsius and +40 degrees Celsius, should be maintained. The H33HRFP-LNK-NS-00 can be mounted against a metallic surface with a high thermal conductivity such as an aluminum or a steel surface. The motor should be secured into place using hexagonal socket screws and nuts.
When awaiting to be mounted, the H33HRFP-LNK-NS-00 should be stored in an environment with an ambient temperature not exceeding 60 degrees Celsius and not falling below -30 degrees Celsius. To prevent damaging the motor’s shaft when mounting the load, the longitudinal axes of both the shaft and the load should be aligned. This can be ensured by using a flexible coupling. However, when connecting the shaft to a pulley or when machining the shaft, excessive force, overhanging load, overhanging shock, and or a thrust load should be avoided. The motor has a NEMA 34 frame size, 3 rotor stacks, 8 leads, a leadwire hookup, and a laminated rotor type.
The winding type employed by the H33HRFP-LNK-NS-00 can reach maximum torque at a high speed. Note that Kollmorgen stepper motor’s holding torque is measured when the motor has supplied with its rated current, the temperature around the windings is kept at 130 degrees Celsius, and the motor is in still air without a heat sink. The motor belongs to the H series of Kollmorgen standard motors family and has three rotor stacks. Kollmorgen motors in this series have a torque range of between 3.29 N-m and 4.93 N-m.
