Kollmorgen made stepper motors are great for diverse form of motion automation. They have the advantage of an efficient design, which reduces the need for bulk to produce the same level of torque. The E32NLHT-LNF-NS-01, as a Kollmorgen DC stepper motor, is also optimized for great efficiency, accurate positioning via high resolution of steps, and low-maintenance.
This motor belongs to the Sigmax family of Kollmorgen stepper motors, which operate with the newest innovation in Kollmorgen stepper motor manufacturing: resulting in distinguishing features like larger torque and faster acceleration. This stepper motor is capable of a full rotation across 240 steps i.e. 1.8 degrees per step taken in any direction. It also improves efficiency via the full use of its stator magnetic fields, via the insertion of extra magnets between each stator teeth. This ensures a full flux linkage (thereby reducing leakage), leading to higher torque production and efficiency. As characterized in its naming, the E32NLHT-LNF-NS-01 is designed in a NEMA frame of size 34 and comes with a NEMA type mounting configuration.
It has two rotor stacks, and the rotors are of the laminated types. It has a splash-proof construction, which links to the terminal board via a conduit connector: NPS pipe thread of 0.5 inches. It comes with 4 parallel lead connectors and a winding type that generates maximum torque at low speed. The shaft of this motor is smooth, and it is of a single configuration. This is a motor with all standard parts, and it comes with a shaft seal. The holding torque for this motor is at 4.65Nm, along with a detent torque of 0.3Nm. Considering that it weights a total of 2.4kg, this is an impressive motor for its size. This stepper does not support feedback via an encoder and is more optimized for open loop operations.
