The device has the ability to take on multiple roles including an analog input velocity servo, variable speed drive, stepper drive replacement, and master encoder follower that comes with electronic gearing. This model also comes with a Windows based interface i.e. the DSMPro. The interface provides powerful diagnostics and troubleshooting capabilities to the drive system. The running costs of this drive system are significantly reduced because it comes with common cabling and high functionality. This model can be configured for digital serial commands.

The DSM130 can also be configured for analog velocity input, step and direction, pre-set positions, torques, and velocities, and master encoder following. It is possible to drive induction or brushless motors with this platform. The system allows users to optimize the right motor/drive system for their application. This model has been tested for temperature, humidity, shock, and vibration. The system also comes with built-in circuitry for short circuit protection. The device also has a highly integrated hardware design with custom ASICS. And an intelligent power modules.  This model is certified in accordance with the global standards and is UL and cUL listed. The drive system has been designed and manufactured in an ISO9001 certified plant. The system is equipped with high frequency encoder input capability and a velocity loop bandwidth of 400 Hz.
