The Kollmorgen DSM007 is a micro-DSM series drive. The peak current output is 7.5 amps. The continuous output current is 2.5 amps. The continuous output power rating is 0.5 kilowatts. The continuous shunt power external (with external shunt kit) is 300 Watts. The peak shunt power (with external shunt kit) is 2.2 kilowatts. The continuous input current for the DSM007 is 5 Amps. Input voltage range for the drive is 100 to 240 Volts AC. The minimum input frequency is 47 Hertz, and the maximum input frequency is 63 Hertz. The DSM007 supports ±10 Volts analog velocity input. It also supports 8 presets that can be set by binary selection of digital inputs. The drive accepts digital serial commands through the serial port and DSM drive host language. One RS-232 serial port and one four-wire RS-485 serial port are available on the drive.
The baud rate range supported by the serial ports on the DSM007 is 1200 to 19200 baud. Up to 32 drives can be addressed through multiple drive addressing. The DSM007 supports control loops for torque, velocity, and position control. All the control loops are digital and have maximum 300 Hertz velocity loop bandwidth. Serial ports on the DSM007 drive have a 9-pin D-shell connector. The control and feedback interfaces on the drive has a 20 and 50 pin high density Mini D connector. An incremental encoder on the drive enables motor feedback. The power interface on the DSM007 is a screw terminal block.
