Product Description
The Kollmorgen digifas 7202-SPS is a digifas 7200 series servo amplifier. Only personnel with knowledge of the handling of electrostatic sensitive devices should be involved in amplifier transport. Only personnel with training in electrical engineering should be involved in amplifier installation. The digifas 7202-SPS should only be used on a three-phase 400 Volts AC industrial earthed main supply. It can be used for control for 6SM series synchronous servo motors for torque and speed control applications. The digifas 7202-SPS comes with a nameplate that lists important information including the servo amplifier type, the serial number and the power supply and load specifications. The digifas 7202-SPS is the Bit Connect version which supports a PLC interface, connection to a simple control via 10 I/O leads and a motor holding brake. Kollmorgen offers forced ventilation for the amplifier as an option.
The digifas 7202-SPS can be directly connected to 3-phase 400 Volts mains without an intermediate transformer. It should be ensured that the maximum permissible rated voltage on the terminals is not exceed by more than 10%, otherwise the ballast circuit and the amplifier could get damaged. Single-phase AC input can be used for commissioning or set-up. A 24 Volts DC auxiliary power supply is supported on the amplifier. Supported protection mechanisms include overvoltage detection and short-circuit protection. Mechanical specifications for the digifas 7202-SPS include 2.1 kilograms weight and housing dimensions of 275 x 71 x 235 millimeters. The protection class of the amplifier housing is IP20. Therefore the device should be mounted inside a suitable control cabinet. The recommended mounting positon is vertical. Environmental specifications for the digifas 7202-SPS include 0 to 45 degrees Celsius temperature and altitudes of up to 1000 meters
